“Let us begin today’s bulletin with news on Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. It is on the threshold of earning Rs 400 crore worldwide. In its third week, the Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial has no intention of stopping. Written and directed by Lokesh and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, the film stars Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles along with a cameo from Suriya as the character Rolex.

According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Vikram will soon enter Rs 400 crore club. He wrote, “KamalHaasan’s #Vikram is refusing to slow down at the box office. The film is all set to enter the Rs 400 crore club soon. ”
“Meanwhile, Suriya and Jyotika announced recently that they will present the upcoming film Gargi, starring Sai Pallavi. Suriya took to Twitter and posted a click with the film’s team, along with words of appreciation for Sai. Suriya, who runs the production house 2D Entertainment, tweeted, “Jo & I are glad to associate with team #Gargi. Some characters just stay in our minds! New thoughts and writing must be celebrated! Hope you all like it!”
Gargi is written and directed by Gautham Ramachandran, who made his debut as a director with Nivin Pauly starrer Richie (2017). The makers posted behind-the-scenes footage that showed how Sai breathed life into her character.


Amazon Prime Video recently unveiled the teaser of its original Telugu series Modern Love: Hyderabad. The show is the Telugu version of Amazon’s much-loved anthology series Modern Love. Similar to the series’ predecessor, the short films in Modern Love: Hyderabad are also inspired by personal essays published in The New York Times.
The teaser has been cut to give the audience a glimpse of the vibrant energy of the series. The tone, texture, and sound of the show seem bright and soothing. As the title suggests, the series is set against the backdrop of Hyderabad, the melting pot of different cultures. The short films narrate the stories of couples from different cultural and religious backgrounds. It will stream on July 8th ”
Moving on, the makers of Chiranjeevi‘s 154th film recently announced that the actioner will release on Sankranthi 2023. Director KS Ravindra aka Bobby took to his social media handles and announced the film’s release date with a poster. Bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, Mega154 also stars Shruti Haasan in the lead role. The film is currently in production. Bobby tweeted, “This time it’s going to be a MEGA festival! Make way for MASS MOOLA VIRAT for this Sankranthi 2023. Can’t hold my eagerness to witness the MASS Euphoria”.
In other news, The wedding of Telugu film distributor Sunil Narang’s daughter Jahnvi Narang witnessed the coming together of the who’s who of the South film industry. While Pawan Kalyan came along with his elder brother Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna was seen with his son Naga Chaitanya. Venkatesh Daggubati, actor Nani, and Major fame Adivi Sesh were also spotted at the big fat wedding. For the wedding, Chiranjeevi wore a golden kurta-pyjama and Pawan Kalyan came dressed in an all-white attire. The two brothers looked dapper as they were photographed with the bride and the groom. Several photos and videos of the stars attending Janhvi Narang’s wedding were shared on social media by their fans.
“Meanwhile, Netflix announced that the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s period action epic RRR has become “the most popular film from India” on the streamer globally. The Hindi dubbed take of the Telugu language film arrived on Netflix on May 20, two months after its worldwide theatrical release.

According to the streaming platform, RRR (Hindi), which has a runtime of 3 hours 2 minutes, has been viewed for “over 45 million hours” across the world. Netflix stated, “RRR is now the most popular Indian film on Netflix around the world”. RRR, also one of the most successful Indian films of 2022, has minted over Rs 1,200 crore at the box office worldwide.

“Moving on, Suresh Gopi recently celebrated his birthday at AMMA’s 28th annual general meet. In a video shared by AMMA’s official YouTube channel, Suresh is seen meeting and greeting Mammootty and Mohanlal. The two were also seen with Suresh as he cut his birthday cake.
Later, Suresh shared the photo on his Instagram account with three heart emojis. As soon as he shared the post, his fans flooded the comments section with love for the actors. “Three legends in one frame,” a comment read, while another fan called the three actors the “legends of Malayalam film industry”. Earlier in the day, Suresh Gopi shared another poster of his upcoming film Paappan. Sharing the poster, Suresh wrote, “So excited for this.” The cop thriller marks his reunion with director Joshiy after a long gap.

Lastly, popular Malayalam playback singer Manjari got married on Friday to her childhood friend Jerin. The couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding in Thiruvananthapuram, which was attended by family and close friends. Manjari and Jerin were schoolmates in Muscat and have been friends since. Jerin works as an HR manager in Bengaluru. Manjari was earlier married to Vivek Prasad. The duo parted ways after a few years of marriage. A native of Thiruvananthapuram, Manjari entered the film industry as a playback singer in 2005 with Achuvinte Amma.
