News Corp launches sports streaming service, KommunityTV

News Corp Australia today launched its new home of live sports streaming across Australia, KommunityTV.

The company said KommunityTV is the evolution of News Corp Australia’s growing live sports streaming program, which creates a dedicated channel for audiences to experience community and grassroots sports.

KommunityTV will allow viewers to watch live matches, as well as replays, highlights and shows from desktop and mobile devices, dive deeper into each game with local narration highlighting all angles from pre-coverage, during and after the game and never miss a sporting moment that involves friends, family and the local community.

All subscribers of News Corp Australia’s state and regional masthead will have access to KommunityTV, providing them with unprecedented access to the nation’s most exciting crop of home-grown talent.
KommunityTV draws on the core value of the company’s national sports network of supporting the growth of sport from grassroots to elite.


It launches with a sports content offering from this weekend. This includes Australia’s premier invitation-only youth basketball tournament, the National Junior Classic, as well as the Australian National Judo Championships, Victorian Junior Country Soccer Championships and Netball SA Country Championships.

The streaming service will continue to grow News Corp Australia’s seasonal partnerships with AFL NAB League, NRL Schoolboys Cup, Queensland School Sport Rugby League, Victorian Netball League, Southern Football League, Netball SA Premier League and SANFL, with a roster of new the contents will also be implemented in the second half of 2022.

The launch of KommunityTV will be supported by a national multi-channel marketing campaign that will be broadcast on digital, print, radio and social channels.

News Corp Australia – News Sport Network Chief Executive Michael Wilkins said KommunityTV was the logical progression of the company’s sports streaming program, which had grown from humble beginnings to national leader in recent years.
